Within a Confederate battle line, officers, flagbearers and ordinary soldiers each had a distinct part to play in keeping a formation together.

The REB Repelling figure introduces the defensive side of infantry combat. Its title suggests a soldier meeting an approaching threat rather than simply firing into the distance. This makes the miniature a useful counterpoint to advancing Confederates or an opposing Union position, allowing a diorama to show the moment at which a line must resist pressure and defend its ground.

This 54mm Confederate miniature is suited to a display of troops in the midst of battle. Combine it with the other REB officers, standard-bearers and fighting poses to build a varied formation with convincing movement across the ground.

Now available from The Military Workshop.
