Its participation in Pickett's Charge is particularly remembered: during that costly assault, the regiment advanced deeply into Union positions and suffered devastating casualties. These figures recall the regiment's experience through a series of individual battlefield roles.

The Wounded figure presents the human consequences of the 11th Mississippi's experience in battle. The regiment's participation in Pickett's Charge is remembered for the devastating losses suffered during the assault, making this a particularly evocative addition to the range. Placed beside charging or advancing soldiers, the miniature brings a more sombre dimension to a Confederate scene and prevents the display from depicting warfare as movement alone.

Part of the 54mm 11th Mississippi series, this miniature can be grouped with the regiment's officers, colours, riflemen and support figures. Together they make an evocative Confederate infantry display, particularly one inspired by the costly fighting at Pickett's Charge.

Now available from The Military Workshop.
