These disciplined soldiers were among the most experienced men in Morgan's army, and many were veterans of the Battle of Camden.

Although the Delaware soldiers had originally been issued dark blue uniforms with red facings, shortages and replacement clothing resulted in a more varied appearance. Hunting shirts and practical overalls were among the garments supplied to the company before Cowpens.

The combination of standing and kneeling firing figures makes this set particularly suitable for a Continental defensive formation.
