USBS2-15 – The American Civil War 1861–1865 – The Battle of Brandy Station, 9th June 1863 – Army of the Potomac – Cavalry Corps – 2nd U.S. Cavalry Regiment – Standard Bearer (3 pcs)

The 2nd United States Cavalry ranked among the Regular Army's most experienced mounted regiments and entered the Civil War with a distinguished pre-war history serving on the American frontier. At Brandy Station, its troopers joined thousands of Union cavalrymen in a battle that forever changed perceptions of the Federal mounted arm. No longer merely scouts or escorts, Union cavalry proved capable of meeting Confederate horsemen in determined combat.

The Standard Bearer occupied one of the most exposed positions within the regiment. Riding at the centre of the formation with the colours held high, he became both a symbol of courage and a beacon for his fellow soldiers. Even under heavy fire, the regimental standard remained a powerful reminder of duty and unity.

This exceptional three-piece set beautifully captures the pride and professionalism of the 2nd U.S. Cavalry. Every element has been carefully researched, from the realistic uniforms and equipment to the flowing colours and animated horses. The superb hand-painted finish enhances every detail, creating a display piece that reflects the drama and pageantry of Civil War cavalry.

At The Military Workshop, we are proud to present historically significant miniatures that combine outstanding artistry with compelling stories from the battlefield, and this remarkable Standard Bearer set is a perfect example.
