About The Military Workshop
The Military Workshop is a specialist shop and mail order business located in Brisbane, Australia.The business was established in 1997 by Brett and Gerelou Williams following their arrival from Hong Kong. Brett is a former Royal Hong Kong Police Officer who took early retirement during the handover of Hong Kong to China. With a lifelong interest in military and historical subjects — inspired in part by his father’s service in the British Army.
Brett turned his passion into what has become one of Australia’s most respected military collectibles businesses.
The Military Workshop first opened as a retail shop in Mt Gravatt in 1998. In 2001 the business relocated to Stafford on Brisbane’s north side before moving to its current premises in Enoggera in 2005.
