39GG-15 – 39th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment

The 39th New York Volunteer Infantry entered Union service in 1861 and became famous for its multicultural composition and distinctive association with Giuseppe Garibaldi, one of the great figures of Italian unification.

39GG-15 represents another soldier from this unusual Union regiment, providing collectors with an additional pose for expanding the Garibaldi Guard beyond its command and standard-bearing figures.

Individual releases such as this are particularly useful for increasing the size of a formation while maintaining plenty of variation among the soldiers.
