ACE-16P – Captain Eddie Rickenbacker

Captain Edward “Eddie” Rickenbacker became America’s most celebrated fighter ace of the First World War. Originally famous as a racing driver, Rickenbacker joined the American war effort and eventually became a fighter pilot with the 94th Aero Squadron.

Flying aircraft including the SPAD XIII, he was officially credited with 26 aerial victories, making him the highest-scoring American fighter ace of the war. His achievements earned him numerous decorations and established a reputation that continued throughout his remarkable post-war career.
