ACE-25 – Fokker E.II 33/15 – Otto Kissenberth
The Fokker E.II belonged to the pioneering generation of German monoplane fighters that helped transform aerial warfare during the First World War. Armed with a forward-firing synchronised machine gun, the Eindecker allowed its pilot to aim the entire aircraft at his opponent.
ACE-25 – Fokker E.II 33/15 depicts the aircraft associated with German aviator Otto Kissenberth, who would go on to become a successful fighter ace during the war.
The elegant simplicity of the early monoplane makes a fascinating contrast to the more sophisticated biplanes and triplanes that would dominate the skies only a few years later.
The Military Workshop is pleased to offer ACE-25 – a superb John Jenkins aircraft representing the rapidly developing world of German fighter aviation during the Great War.
