CSWT-07 – 1st Special Battalion Louisiana Infantry – Wheat's Tigers

The nickname “Wheat's Tigers” became attached to the Louisiana battalion commanded by Major Roberdeau Wheat and has endured far beyond the unit's relatively short wartime history.

CSWT-07 adds another individual soldier to this distinctive formation.

Mixing him with the other Tigers gives collectors the opportunity to recreate the irregular visual character of early-war volunteer troops, before Confederate uniforms became more standardised.
