CTIB-10N – Celtiberian Scutarius

The armies of the ancient western Mediterranean were rarely composed of a single people. Carthage in particular drew upon experienced warriors from across North Africa, Iberia and beyond, creating forces remarkable for their diversity.

Among these troops were the Celtiberian Scutarii, named for the large shields they carried and valued for their effectiveness in close combat.

CTIB-10N adds another Scutarius to the Iberian ranks, providing collectors with further variation when assembling a substantial formation. Combined with the other CTIB releases, the figure helps create the mass and depth expected of an ancient infantry force.
