GA-11B – Panzer I Ausf. B No. 531 – Poland
When Germany invaded Poland on 1 September 1939, the Panzer I remained a significant part of its armoured inventory despite its limitations.
Armed only with machine guns and protected by relatively thin armour, the Panzer I Ausf. B was not designed to fight enemy tanks on equal terms. Its presence in the Polish campaign reflects the still-developing nature of German armoured forces at the beginning of the Second World War.
GA-11B depicts Panzer I Ausf. B No. 531, providing collectors with a vehicle specifically suited to an early-war 1939 setting.
It can be displayed on a Polish road, with advancing infantry or alongside other early German vehicles to create a historically focused opening-campaign scene.
Available from The Military Workshop – a detailed John Jenkins Designs Panzer I Ausf. B representing the early armoured warfare of the 1939 Polish campaign.
