By 1939 and 1940, the limitations of the Panzer I were becoming increasingly apparent. Its machine-gun armament and thin armour left it poorly equipped to confront enemy tanks, yet vehicles of the type continued to serve because more capable replacements were not yet available in sufficient numbers.

GA-14B – Panzer I Ausf. B #623 is presented as a two-piece model, adding another individually marked vehicle to an early-war German armoured collection.
