GA-15B – Panzer I Ausf. B “R”

GA-15B – Panzer I Ausf. B “R” provides another variation of Germany's first widely produced Panzer, allowing a collection to explore the armoured forces of the late 1930s and opening years of the Second World War.

The Ausf. B's extended chassis and revised powerplant distinguished it from the original Ausf. A, although both retained the same basic concept of a small two-man machine-gun tank.

The vehicle is particularly effective as part of a mixed early-war column where its modest size and light armament stand in sharp contrast to Germany's later armoured vehicles.
