GGMI-12 – Mounted Infantry and Zulu Warrior – Battle of Gingindlovu – 3 Pieces
On 2 April 1879, Lord Chelmsford's Eshowe Relief Column met a major Zulu force at the Battle of Gingindlovu.
While much of the battle centred upon the prepared British position, mounted troops played an important role in reconnaissance and in the action surrounding the main engagement.
GGMI-12 is a three-piece set combining Mounted Infantry with a Zulu Warrior, bringing the two sides together in a particularly energetic encounter.
It provides an excellent transition between the organised British defensive line and the more fluid action beyond the perimeter.
Available from The Military Workshop – a dramatic John Jenkins Designs three-piece set capturing mounted action during the Battle of Gingindlovu.
