GGZ-10 – Two Zulu Warriors
The Zulu army that confronted British forces in 1879 was a highly organised military system built around age-based regiments, or amabutho. Warriors trained and served together, giving the Zulu impi a cohesion that could be devastating when combined with speed, discipline and aggressive battlefield tactics.
GGZ-10 presents two Zulu Warriors, adding another pair of fighting poses to John Jenkins Designs' extensive Anglo-Zulu War collection. Armed and equipped for close combat, they represent the warriors whose ability to cross open ground rapidly and press home an attack made the Zulu army such a formidable opponent.
The pair is particularly useful when creating a large impi. Rather than arranging Zulu warriors in neat rows, mixing different two-man and individual sets across varying depths gives a much more convincing impression of a mass of men advancing over broken ground.
Position GGZ-10 among the leading warriors, reinforce one of the flanks, or combine the figures with an Induna and other regimental sets to create a much larger attacking formation.
Available from The Military Workshop – a dynamic two-figure John Jenkins Designs set for adding further strength, movement and variety to your Zulu army.
