CS00368 - 146th New York Wounded | The Collectors Showcase
The experience of the 146th New York can be explored through a series of Civil War battlefield figures, each showing a different part of infantry service. Together, they suggest the tension, purpose and uncertainty of a regiment engaged in battle.
The CS00368 - 146th New York Wounded figure captures a particular moment from this wider setting. The wounded subject provides a quieter but powerful contrast to advancing and firing figures. Placed behind or among an infantry line, it gives a collection a sense of consequence as well as action.
This three-figure set helps portray the difficult aftermath of fighting and balances the more action-oriented figures in the range. Presented with complementary firing, command and casualty subjects, the regiment can be shown as a continuous battlefield narrative rather than a series of unrelated figures.
As part of a 54mm American Civil War display, it sits naturally alongside the other 146th New York figures, helping build a unified scene of Union infantry in action.
