CS00492 - 5th New York Wounded | The Collectors Showcase

A convincing Civil War display is shaped by the smaller moments within a larger battle. The 5th New York series ranges from the urgency of advancing soldiers to leadership and the effects of enemy fire.

The CS00492 - 5th New York Wounded figure captures a particular moment from this wider setting. The wounded subject provides a quieter but powerful contrast to advancing and firing figures. Placed behind or among an infantry line, it gives a collection a sense of consequence as well as action.

Its effect is particularly strong when contrasted with the different postures and actions of the other 5th New York soldiers.

Designed to complement the other 5th New York figures, this 54mm Civil War piece adds variety and a distinctive moment to a larger Union regimental diorama.
