CS00494 - 5th New York Prone | The Collectors Showcase

Union infantry formations faced moments of intense movement followed by the concentrated work of firing and reloading. These 5th New York figures bring several aspects of that experience together, allowing collectors to build a coordinated regimental scene.

The CS00494 - 5th New York Prone figure captures a particular moment from this wider setting. The prone figure provides a low-to-the-ground composition that contrasts with the standing figures in the series. It works especially well beside firing and reloading subjects in a carefully arranged infantry scene.

Its effect is particularly strong when contrasted with the different postures and actions of the other 5th New York soldiers.

Designed to complement the other 5th New York figures, this 54mm Civil War piece adds variety and a distinctive moment to a larger Union regimental diorama.
