CS00751 - 11th Virginia Firing | The Collectors Showcase

Flags, musket fire and sudden changes in a regiment's fortunes were all part of the visual drama of the American Civil War. The 11th Virginia range follows Confederate soldiers from moments of determined resistance to the disruption that could overtake a line during heavy fighting.

The firing soldier portrays the 11th Virginia at the moment a weapon is brought into action. It suggests the concentration of a man responding to the immediate danger ahead, adding a clear combat pose to the more stationary figures in the range. Positioning several firing and supporting figures together can suggest a line delivering fire before the next change in orders or movement.

Part of the 54mm American Civil War Confederate range, this figure can be combined with the other 11th Virginia releases to create a more complete regimental scene. It is especially effective when placed among figures showing both the strength and the vulnerability of an infantry line.
