CS01013C - Mosby Shotgun | The Collectors Showcase

The speed and mobility suggested by mounted Confederate figures provide a striking contrast to soldiers fighting on foot. In the Mosby group, individual riders represent different aspects of a mounted force, including its flag, its weapons and its forward movement.

The Mosby Shotgun figure adds a distinctive armed rider to the mounted Confederate series. Its named weapon distinguishes it from the other two Mosby subjects and gives a display a different kind of battlefield action. Alongside the flagbearer and charging horseman, the figure suggests a mounted party ready to respond to sudden danger, with each rider contributing a separate element of the scene.

As a 54mm American Civil War mounted subject, this horse-and-rider figure brings height, motion and a different silhouette to a Confederate collection. Display it with the other Mosby figures to build a coordinated mounted scene.
