CS01077 - 11th Mississippi Advancing | The Collectors Showcase

From command and colour-bearing to rifle fire, ammunition duties and casualties, the 11th Mississippi figures tell different parts of a connected story. The regiment's costly role in Pickett's Charge gives this range a powerful historical setting for an American Civil War display.

The advancing 11th Mississippi soldier reflects the forward movement for which the regiment's Pickett's Charge story is remembered. Rather than representing the instant of firing, this pose captures a man closing the distance under the strain of battle. Positioned with the flagbearer, officer and charging figure, it helps create the impression of an infantry line pressing ahead despite the dangers confronting it.

Part of the 54mm 11th Mississippi series, this miniature can be grouped with the regiment's officers, colours, riflemen and support figures. Together they make an evocative Confederate infantry display, particularly one inspired by the costly fighting at Pickett's Charge.
