The Skoda 305 mm M11/M16 siege howitzer was a renowned Austro-Hungarian heavy weapon system, designed for fort destruction in World War I, that was notably employed by Nazi Germany and its allies during World War II. Seized after the annexation of Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia, these formidable, high-trajectory weapons (designated 30.5 cm Mörser 638(j) or (t)) served in heavy artillery battalions during campaigns in Poland, France, and the Soviet Union, including the siege of Sevastopol.
