New Thomas Gunn Releases have now arrived for preview, with new stock expected to be available for dispatch next week. This month features a fantastic mix of Napoleonic figures which we will start with as these the most historic.
The 28th of Foot North Gloucestershire Regt
One of the most famous regiments of the British Army, the 28th (North Gloucestershire) Regiment of Foot built a formidable reputation during the Napoleonic Wars, serving from Egypt through to Waterloo.
Their most legendary moment came during the Battle of Alexandria in 1801. After French cavalry broke through the British lines and attacked from the rear, the order was famously given:
“Rear Rank, 28th! Right About Face!”
The regiment calmly formed back-to-back ranks and successfully fought off attacks from both directions. In honour of this extraordinary action, the 28th became the only regiment in the British Army permitted to wear a badge on both the front and rear of their headdress.
The regiment later fought throughout the Peninsula Campaign, including Corunna, Talavera, Albuera, Vitoria and the Pyrenees, before taking part in the final battles of Quatre Bras and Waterloo in 1815.
These latest releases capture the determination and discipline of the famous “Slashers” during the height of the Napoleonic Wars.
A big thank you to John O’Brien here in Australia for his assistance and research support, along with the team at the Armoury of St James in London.
We always enjoy seeing the little historical details brought to life in miniature — from the rear shako badge to the regiment markings on the water bottles. These touches really help add realism whether the figures are displayed individually or formed together in square.
Standing firm in square formation with bayonets angled outward like the “spines of a hedgehog,” these figures perfectly capture the tense moments before a French cavalry charge crashes home.

WW2 Germans
ACCPACK 095A. Pak 40 75mm Anti Tank Gun with Crew
ACCPACK 095B. Pak 40 75mm Anti-Tank Gun

After WW2, the Pak 40 remained in service in several European armies, kept in service into the 1960s. North Vietnam also received some during the Vietnam War. Six ex-Portuguese Army Pak 40s divided into two artillery detachments were stationed in Dili during the Indonesian invasion of East Timor in 1975.
German Fallschirmjäger (paratrooper) units used the Pak 40 anti-tank 75 mm gun during World War II, particularly in the latter war years (1943-45). Whilst originally designated airborne forces, the high losses of these elite infantry during the 1941 Crete campaign, forced them to fight as mainly ground-based infantry and Panzerjäger (tank hunter) units in Italy, France, and the Battle of the Bulge, although there were late war airborne drops, they were never on the same scale as Crete.
We are offering 2 x Pak 40 anti tank 75 mm gun versions in this release.
ACCPACK 095A an all metal Pak 40 anti-tank gun with 3 x Fallschirmjäger crew in late war tan and water camouflage uniform. The crew include an aimer looking through the gun sights and two loaders.
Limited to 100 in number
ACCPACK 095B Pak 40 with no crew available whilst stocks last and limited to 40 sets worldwide.
A little background behind this set, originally it was envisaged we would have 4 x SS pushing the cannon manually into a new gun position, but it proved impossible to achieve this for one reason or another. After talking with Paul Goodsell and Stefan Farrelly (both great friends of the company) we came up with the idea of a late war FJ team in action, something never done (to our knowledge) in 1/30 scale before. Although the original idea never came to fruition, the compromise came out better than the original idea!
There will be 2 further Fallschirmjäger spotter figures as per the header photo and the last photo, these will be released in June 2026. Check out the photos, they really make a perfect addition to this set to give you a full 5 man crew, or they can be used with a mortar or HMG team, which will follow later this year.
SS200 The SS Normandy 1944

SS-Schütze Klaus Schuh with his MG-42 machine gun, he was killed 26th June 1944
SS-Sturmmann Otto Funk, with a box of ammunition for MG 42 machine guns slung over his shoulder. He was wounded on 26th June 1944 but survived the war. Otto Funk died in 2011 aged 85
Our smiling Knight's Cross officer cannot be seen in the original photos below, but we felt this would enhance the set as well as the SS Grenadier with the MP40. There were over 100 x SS in Rots at the time of the photo, we sincerely hope you enjoy this new release based on original photographs and also our use of artistic licence for 2 of these figures.
Again, feel free to browse our collection of models recreating thus the ""story of old""
Have a great week all!!
