BBG134 – K&C ‘Heritage Classics’ On Patrol #1 | King & Country
BBG134 “Heritage Classics – On Patrol #1” is a two-figure set depicting a pair of German infantrymen carefully making their way across the snow-covered landscape of the Eastern Front.
One soldier carries the familiar MP40 machine pistol, while his companion is armed with a Gewehr 43 semi-automatic rifle. Their cautious poses make them ideal for a winter patrol, reconnaissance party or infantry unit moving through the difficult conditions of wartime Russia.
BBG134 forms part of King & Country’s new “Heritage Classics” collection, created in response to collectors searching for popular older figures that have become increasingly difficult to find.
Rather than simply reproduce those earlier releases exactly as they first appeared, King & Country has revisited the original sculpts using its current approach to painting, detailing and weathering.
These first Heritage Classics were originally part of the popular Battle of the Bulge collection, with some of the figures dating back to 2005 and 2006. For their return, however, they have been transferred from Western Europe to the frozen Eastern Front, giving them a completely different setting and appearance.
The distinctive red identification bands worn on the upper left arms are another feature of their new Eastern Front presentation.
A great addition to a German winter collection, BBG134 will work particularly well alongside snow-covered vehicles, defensive positions and the other Heritage Classics releases.
Will be available from The Military Workshop.
