BBG135 “Heritage Classics – Walking MG42 Gun Team” portrays a two-man German machine-gun team moving across the frozen Eastern Front.
The gunner carries the formidable MG42 machine gun, while his companion provides support armed with an MP40 machine pistol. Both men also carry additional boxes of ammunition, an essential requirement for keeping their powerful machine gun supplied during combat.
The MG42 became one of the most recognisable German infantry weapons of the Second World War and provided German units with considerable firepower wherever it was deployed.
This two-man team is part of King & Country’s new Heritage Classics collection. The original figures were once part of the Battle of the Bulge series but have now been given an entirely different appearance through updated painting, weathering and their transfer to the snow-covered battlefields of Russia.
Their winter clothing and Eastern Front markings give these familiar figures a fresh identity while still retaining the appeal of the original sculpts.
BBG135 is an excellent support team for a larger German winter display and can be positioned moving towards the front, relocating their weapon or accompanying other infantry on patrol.
