INCA-18B – Inca Slinger

INCA-18B – Inca Slinger provides an alternate single figure for collectors looking to increase the variety within their Inca missile troops.

The sling had several advantages in the Andean environment. It was lightweight, easily carried and made from materials readily available to communities with a long tradition of textile production and cordage.

In battle, slingers could engage opponents from a distance before the main body of troops closed. Used in numbers, this could force an enemy to advance under a continuing shower of projectiles.

INCA-18B can be mixed with the A variation so the slinger line does not appear repetitive. Place some figures slightly forward and others behind, creating a loose formation in which warriors are at different stages of preparing and releasing their shots.

The result provides an excellent backdrop for the more heavily armed Inca warriors advancing ahead.
