GWA-06(60) – 60th Battalion AIF

The 60th Battalion endured some of the harshest fighting experienced by Australia's 5th Division during the First World War.

After its severe losses at Fromelles, the battalion had to be rebuilt and continued serving on the Western Front. Like other Australian infantry units, its men experienced the exhausting cycle of front-line duty, reserve positions, training and renewed operations.

GWA-06(60) adds another individual soldier to the John Jenkins Designs 60th Battalion collection, helping collectors move away from repeated identical poses when assembling a larger unit.

Position him among advancing infantry, within a trench line or alongside supporting troops and equipment. Individual releases such as this are particularly valuable for filling the small spaces between larger sets and making the formation appear much more natural.
