From the victory at Prestonpans to the final defeat on Culloden Moor, the Highlanders became the enduring image of the Jacobite army of 1745–46.
JR-31B – Highlander by John Jenkins Designs captures one of these distinctive warriors and provides collectors with another individual pose for building a varied Jacobite formation.
The Jacobite army was far more diverse than is sometimes imagined, but its Highland regiments provided some of its most formidable fighting troops. Their preference for rapid advances and close-quarter fighting could be devastating when circumstances allowed them to close with the enemy.
