JR-31B – Highlander
JR-31B provides a complementary Highlander for collectors expanding the Jacobite army beyond its principal character figures.
The Highland regiments were organised around existing clan and regional relationships, although the realities of recruitment and allegiance during the Rising were more complicated than the romantic image of entire clans uniformly supporting one side.
That complexity is worth remembering when recreating the Jacobite army. Scots fought on both sides of the conflict, and loyalties could differ even within the same broader clan communities.
JR-31B works naturally beside JR-31A, but separating the two among other poses often produces an even better result. Place them at different points in the formation so the army appears less repetitive.
Add standards, pipers and command figures and the Highland contingent quickly develops its own identity within the wider Jacobite force.
