ABHL-07A - Two American Minutemen | John Jenkins Designs

This two-figure set represents American colonial Minutemen during the Battle of Bunker Hill, fought on 17 June 1775 during the early stages of the American War of Independence.

The figures depict two Minutemen in contrasting clothing and poses, with one wearing a brown coat and looking towards the left, while the second wears a tan coat and looks forward.

The different garments reflect the varied civilian clothing commonly worn by American colonial militia, who had not yet developed the uniform appearance associated with regular military formations.

During June 1775, American forces established defensive positions on Breed's Hill, overlooking Charlestown and the approaches to Boston.

British regular troops launched repeated attacks against the fortifications on 17 June, with the colonial defenders successfully repulsing the first two assaults.

The Americans eventually withdrew during the third British attack after their ammunition became exhausted.

The battle demonstrated the fighting determination of the colonial forces and became a significant early engagement in the American Revolution.

ABHL-07A provides two additional Minutemen for recreating a colonial battlefield formation and can be combined with ABHL-07B and ABHL-07N for a larger display.
