ABHL-07B - Two American Minutemen | John Jenkins Designs

This two-figure set represents American colonial Minutemen during the Battle of Bunker Hill on 17 June 1775.

The set includes two figures in contrasting poses and clothing: one wearing a grey coat and looking towards the left, and another wearing a brown coat and looking forward.

Their differing appearances reflect the variety of civilian garments worn by colonial militia during the early stages of the American War of Independence.

In June 1775, American forces constructed defensive positions on Breed's Hill overlooking Boston and Charlestown.

The colonial defenders faced repeated attacks by British regular infantry on 17 June, successfully resisting two assaults before eventually withdrawing during the third after running short of ammunition.

Although the British captured the position, their casualties were considerable, and the engagement became one of the most important early battles of the Revolution.

ABHL-07B is suitable for building a varied American militia formation or adding soldiers to a Breed's Hill defensive display.

The set can be combined with ABHL-07A and ABHL-07N to create a larger group of colonial Minutemen.
