ABHL-07N - Four American Minutemen | John Jenkins Designs
This four-figure set depicts American colonial Minutemen during the Battle of Bunker Hill on 17 June 1775.
The set includes four figures in two different poses, with two looking towards the left and two looking forward.
These varied poses provide collectors with additional options for arranging colonial soldiers within a battlefield scene, particularly around the defensive earthworks on Breed's Hill.
During June 1775, American militia occupied Breed's Hill overlooking Boston and constructed a fortified position in anticipation of a British attack.
British regular infantry subsequently launched three major assaults against the American position.
The first two attacks were repulsed with heavy British casualties, before the defenders eventually withdrew during the third attack after exhausting much of their ammunition.
The American militia who participated in the fighting wore varied civilian clothing and practical garments, reflecting the nature of the colonial forces during the early stages of the Revolution.
ABHL-07N provides a useful group of four Minutemen for building a larger colonial formation and can be combined with the ABHL-07A and ABHL-07B sets.
Now available from The Military Workshop.
