ABHL-09A - Two American Minutemen | John Jenkins Designs

This two-figure set represents American colonial Minutemen during the Battle of Bunker Hill, fought on 17 June 1775 near Boston, Massachusetts.

The set depicts two Minutemen walking with their muskets, including one soldier wearing a brown coat and carrying his musket in his right hand.

The walking poses make these figures suitable for representing troops advancing towards defensive positions, moving along a battlefield route or assembling with other colonial militia.

During June 1775, American forces established defensive earthworks on Breed's Hill overlooking Charlestown and the approaches to Boston.

British troops launched repeated assaults against the colonial position, with the defenders successfully resisting the first two attacks.

The third assault eventually succeeded after the American forces ran short of ammunition and were forced to withdraw.

The Battle of Bunker Hill became a significant early engagement of the American War of Independence, demonstrating the determination of colonial troops when defending prepared positions.

ABHL-09A can be combined with ABHL-09B and ABHL-09N to create a larger group of marching American Minutemen for a historically themed battlefield display.
