ABHL-09N - Four American Minutemen | John Jenkins Designs
This four-figure set represents American colonial Minutemen during the Battle of Bunker Hill on 17 June 1775, one of the earliest major engagements of the American War of Independence.
The set depicts four Minutemen walking with their muskets, providing a selection of poses suitable for representing colonial soldiers moving towards or between defensive positions.
The figures are arranged in two different walking poses, with two carrying their muskets in their right hands.
American colonial forces occupied Breed's Hill in June 1775 and constructed defensive earthworks overlooking the approaches to Boston.
When British regular infantry launched repeated attacks against the position, the defenders successfully resisted the first two assaults before eventually withdrawing during the third attack after their ammunition became exhausted.
Unlike regular British soldiers, American militia often wore a variety of civilian clothing and practical garments rather than matching military uniforms.
The variety of poses makes ABHL-09N particularly suitable for creating a marching militia column, a defensive reinforcement group or a larger Breed's Hill diorama.
This set can be combined with ABHL-09A, ABHL-09B and other American Minutemen figures to build a larger colonial force.
Now available from The Military Workshop.
