German fighter pilot Friedrich “Fritz” Kempf is particularly remembered by aviation enthusiasts because of the highly distinctive aircraft he flew during the First World War.

Serving with Jasta 2, Kempf became associated with a Fokker Dr.I triplane carrying his name and the memorable German inscription “KEnnscht mi noch?” His personalised markings have made the aircraft a favourite subject among collectors and modellers of Great War aviation.
