The Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX emerged as one of the RAF’s most important fighter variants during the Second World War, combining the classic Spitfire design with increased performance required to meet increasingly capable German fighters.

ACE-202 recreates Spitfire Mk IXc EN315, coded ZX-6, associated with the celebrated Polish Fighting Team, popularly known as “Skalski’s Circus.” Formed from experienced Polish fighter pilots, the unit fought with distinction during operations in North Africa in 1943.

The aircraft’s distinctive markings and fascinating Polish connection make this an especially appealing piece for collectors of RAF, North African or Second World War aviation.
