ACE-23 – Fokker E.III 246/16 – Max Immelmann

The Fokker Eindecker occupies an important place in the history of military aviation as one of the first truly effective purpose-built fighter aircraft. Its synchronised machine gun allowed the pilot to fire directly through the propeller arc, giving German aviators a significant advantage during the period remembered as the “Fokker Scourge.”

ACE-23 – Fokker E.III 246/16 represents an aircraft associated with legendary German fighter pilot Max Immelmann. One of Germany’s earliest great aces, Immelmann became famous for his aggressive aerial tactics and was among the first German pilots awarded the prestigious Pour le Mérite.

His name remains associated with the famous “Immelmann Turn,” ensuring his place among the pioneering personalities of fighter aviation.

Available from The Military Workshop – an impressive John Jenkins aircraft representing Max Immelmann and the pioneering days of aerial combat during the First World War.
