ACE-39P – Ltn. Wilhelm Leusch – Jasta 19, October 1918
By the final months of the First World War, the Fokker D.VII had emerged as one of Germany’s most formidable fighter aircraft. Its excellent handling and performance made it highly respected by both the pilots who flew it and the Allied airmen who faced it.
ACE-39P represents Leutnant Wilhelm Leusch, associated with a Fokker D.VII (OAW) of Jasta 19 during October 1918.
The figure provides an excellent personality addition to a late-war German airfield, particularly when displayed alongside the colourful Fokker D.VII fighters that characterised the final stages of the conflict.
The Military Workshop is pleased to offer ACE-39P – a John Jenkins pilot figure representing the German fighter arm during the closing weeks of the Great War.
