AE057 – The Vizier

Second only to the Pharaoh in the administration of Ancient Egypt, the Vizier was one of the most powerful officials in the kingdom. Acting as the Pharaoh’s chief adviser, he could oversee taxation, agriculture, building projects, law and the vast bureaucracy required to govern Egypt.

AE057 – The Vizier represents this important member of the royal court in a suitably dignified pose. Placed alongside the Pharaoh, court officials, guards and attendants, he helps recreate the hierarchy and ceremony of Ancient Egyptian government.
