The Roman conquest of Gaul was not achieved easily. Caesar’s campaigns from 58–50 BC involved years of fighting against numerous tribes, culminating in major confrontations such as the siege and Battle of Alesia in 52 BC.
AER-15B – Gaul Warrior Fighting represents one of the warriors who can populate these dramatic clashes between Celtic resistance and Roman military power.
His active fighting pose works especially well among a group of individually posed Gauls, where the different figures combine to create the confusion and intensity of a battle already fully underway.
