The Gallic cavalry enjoyed a strong military reputation and played an important role in the wars between the Celtic tribes and Rome. Their speed made them useful for reconnaissance, screening movements, pursuing defeated enemies and challenging opposing cavalry.

AERCAV-04 – Ancient Gauls, Gaul Cavalry provides a two-piece mounted set that immediately adds greater presence to the cavalry component of a Gallic army.

Combined with individual mounted warriors, the set can create a substantial body of horsemen operating away from the dense infantry battle or gathering for a charge against an exposed enemy flank.
