The victory of Arminius over the forces of Publius Quinctilius Varus in AD 9 sent shockwaves through the Roman world. Three legions – XVII, XVIII and XIX – were effectively destroyed during the disaster.

AG-08B – Germanic Cherusci Warrior represents one of the tribal fighting men associated with this era of fierce resistance to Roman expansion.

Adding numerous individually posed warriors allows collectors to recreate the impression of Germanic fighters appearing from different directions and overwhelming sections of the Roman column.
