ALB-04G – French Hussar | John Jenkins Designs

ALB-04G is another mounted release representing the French 2nd Hussars during their dramatic attack at Albuera.

Together with the Polish Lancers, the Hussars numbered among approximately 800 cavalrymen committed to the assault against Colborne’s British infantry.

Because the British troops had been caught in line and were temporarily hampered by the violent rainstorm, they were particularly exposed to a fast-moving cavalry attack.

The result was a brutal encounter and one of the most memorable mounted actions of the Peninsular War.

This version gives collectors another opportunity to expand the French cavalry formation and recreate the scale of the attack.

Will be available from The Military Workshop.
