ALB-14G – East Kent “The Buffs” | John Jenkins Designs
ALB-14G portrays soldiers of The Buffs caught in the savage fighting at Albuera on 16 May 1811.
A sudden storm of rain and hail had swept across the battlefield, making visibility poor and seriously affecting the ability of British infantrymen to reload their flintlock muskets.
It was at this vulnerable moment that French and Polish cavalry struck the flank and rear of Colborne’s exposed brigade.
The Buffs suffered some of the heaviest losses of any British battalion in the battle and were virtually overwhelmed by the mounted attack.
ALB-14G makes a dramatic addition to John Jenkins’ “Storm of Lancers” series and pairs naturally with the cavalry sets attacking the British line.
Will be available from The Military Workshop.
