The Almoravid armies combined different types of infantry to create forces capable of fighting effectively against both Christian and Muslim opponents across North Africa and medieval Iberia. Spearmen provided an important close-combat element within these formations.
ALM-20A – Almoravid Spearman represents one of these infantrymen armed with the long-reaching weapon that could be particularly effective when warriors fought together in organised ranks.
As an individual figure, ALM-20A is useful for filling gaps between larger sets and extending a line of Almoravid infantry without creating an overly repetitive formation.
