Persian archers could operate as part of larger infantry formations, using their bows to engage enemy troops while other warriors provided protection and close-combat support.

AP-010AN – 4 Persian Archers provides another four-man group, giving collectors an effective way to increase the size of their Achaemenid forces while maintaining variation across the formation.

Combined with AP-009AN and the individual Persian archers, the set can create an impressive concentration of missile troops positioned behind the shields and spears of the main battle line.
