AP-25A – Kardake Light Infantry

The Kardakes remain one of the more intriguing troop types associated with the later Achaemenid Persian armies. Ancient sources leave room for debate over their precise status and organisation, but they are generally associated with infantry serving within the increasingly diverse forces of the Persian Empire.

AP-25A – Kardake Light Infantry represents a more lightly equipped warrior, providing an interesting contrast to the shield-bearing infantry and massed archers elsewhere in the Persian army.

The individual figure can be mixed with other Kardake variations to create a loose formation suitable for supporting the heavier elements of the army.
