AP-37L – Persian Kardake Infantry (4-Piece Set)

Representing the disciplined infantry of the Achaemenid Persian Empire, AP-37L – Persian Kardake Infantry is a finely detailed four-piece set from the Armies and Enemies of Greece and Macedonia collection, available from The Military Workshop.

The Kardakes are believed to have formed an important part of the later Persian Army, possibly created as part of a military reform inspired by the success of the Greek hoplite phalanx. While their exact organisation remains uncertain, they are generally regarded as well-trained infantry capable of fighting in close formation while retaining the flexibility that characterised Persian warfare.

Serving during the reign of Darius III, the Kardakes fought in the decisive campaigns against Alexander the Great, standing as part of the Persian battle line during the empire's final struggles.

Beautifully sculpted and expertly hand-painted, AP-37L captures these historic warriors in remarkable detail, making them an excellent addition to any Persian or ancient battlefield display.
