AP-50A – Persian Cataphract | John Jenkins Designs

AP-50A represents a Persian Cataphract serving within the vast military forces of the Achaemenid Persian Empire.

Founded by Cyrus the Great, the Achaemenid Empire became one of the largest empires the ancient world had yet seen, incorporating territories and peoples across Western and Central Asia.

Its military forces reflected this diversity, especially its cavalry, which drew upon several peoples renowned for their horsemanship.

Heavy cavalry provided an important mounted element alongside the lighter troops more commonly associated with the Persian armies.

This impressive mounted figure makes an excellent addition to the Armies and Enemies of Greece and Macedonia collection and is particularly effective when paired with AP-50B.

Will be available from The Military Workshop.
