AP-50B – Persian Cataphract | John Jenkins Designs

AP-50B depicts a mounted Persian Cataphract from the armies of the Achaemenid Persian Empire.

At its height, the Achaemenid Empire stretched across an enormous area from the Balkans towards the Indus Valley and incorporated a vast number of peoples and military traditions.

This diversity was reflected in its cavalry forces, which included Persians, Medes, Bactrians, Scythians and Sakas, each contributing their own expertise in mounted warfare.

The cataphract represents the heavily equipped side of ancient cavalry and provides a striking contrast to lighter horsemen and infantry formations.

AP-50B works especially well alongside AP-50A to create a stronger Persian cavalry presence.

Will be available from The Military Workshop.
